Who I am

Motivation

Let me tell you a bit about my story. In 2017, at the end of high school, I started coding. In 2019, I created my first machine learning algorithm for a medical informatics lab at Penn Med. In 2021, I received a Open Research Fulbright Grant to study AI imaging models in one of the largest hospitals in South Korea. Currently, I am training to become a doctor, and I am passionate about the role that AI will play in the medical field in the coming years.

The reason I’m making this website is to provide an easy-to-understand overview of the latest AI technologies in medicine. Things are moving fast, and it is important that both medical providers and patients to be aware of what is going on with artificial intelligence.

Like any tool, AI is a means to an end. That means that we can use it to improve our society or destroy it. I believe that AI can and should be used to improve our society by being used to benefit patients and providers by (1) improving quality of care, (2) saving time, and (3) saving money.

Philosophy is another thing that I’ve been passionate about since high school. In this blog, I will be discussing stories of my life with philosophical threads nested within. Ultimately, the most important question anyone can ask is what it means to live a good life –a deep and philosophical question.

In short, you can think of this blog as a constellation of stories that together render my life story and the things that I am most passionate about.
